As the Spring semester comes to an end, the American University in Cairo’s incubator V-Lab and accelerator Flat6Labs Cairo graduated their respective cycles. With a total of 23 graduated startups spanning across different sectors, here are six that caught Business Forward’s eye:
DentaCarts
DentaCarts connects dentists with vendors and provides a vast collection of dental supplies via their official agents. Dentists can browse products, add them to the cart, checkout and DentaCarts would deliver the orders to their doorsteps.
Transpooler
Transpooler is an app-based transport service management platform enabling academic institutions to manage and track the students’ rides. It also enables parents to monitor their kids’ ride home from schools.
Indots
Indots offers plug and play home monitoring solutions that notify users on their mobile phones if any danger occurs at their homes as a result of breaking in, fire, gas leakage etc. Users can install the solutions without any help from technicians.
Chefaa
Chefaa enables patients to scan their prescriptions and locate the medication they need in nearby pharmacies. The medication can then be ordered via the app, either as one-time orders or as monthly packages for patients with chronic diseases.
Hood
Hood provides a mobile application-synced device for cars that informs the user when an error is detected and whether it is minor or requires immediate attention. Car owners can check and clear the code of the engine light, track their trip history, locate near car shops, keep gas expenses in check and monetize the car’s movement.
Arza2
Arza2 connects blue collar workers with companies seeking to hire. Targeting companies and factories offering job vacancies, it also offers vocational training for job seekers, packages for employers to review resumes and annual subscriptions to access the directory.
