Switzerland is one of the richest countries in the world, with solid private consumption growth and a competitive, wealthy economy, according to Dutch knowledge center RaboResearch. Despite minimal natural resources, the country has managed to become a global competitor in the banking, pharmaceuticals, machinery and textiles sector.
James Breiding, founder and owner of Swiss investment firm Naissance Capital, wrote his book “Swiss Made” to explain to the world how a country with such limited natural resources has been labelled as such a success. Business Forward asks Breiding about what can be learned from the Swiss experience and which pillars are most important when working on catapulting economies forward.
