Amira Salah-Ahmed is the former managing editor of Business Forward. She is one of the cofounders of Mada Masr, an independent media company with a news website covering Egypt in English and Arabic.
For more than 10 years, Amira has worked with local and international publications as an economy and business reporter and editor. She is a regular contributor to The Africa Report and has written for Financial Times, South Africa's Financial Mail and the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce's newsletter.
Ayman Ismail is an assistant professor of management and Abdul Latif Jameel Endowed Chair of Entrepreneurship at the American University in Cairo. He is the founder of the AUC Venture Lab (AUC V-Lab) incubator.
Dunya Hassanein is a business writer at Business Forward AUC. She has worked in and contributed to Egypt Today Magazine, Egyptian Streets, Identity Magazine, TahrirNews, Mubasher and others. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, with a major in English literature and a minor in German.
Engy Adham is a freelance journalist. She reports on social issues, arts and culture and previously published stories on Egyptian Streets, Daily News Egypt and Ahram Online. She is a current MA fellow at Syracuse University studying Television, Radio and Film. She received her BA in multimedia journalism and political science from the American University in Cairo (AUC).
Engy Aly was formerly a reporter with Business Forward and is the cofounder of Qahwet Masr and Moda Fit.
She graduated from the American University in Cairo in 2016 with a degree in multimedia journalism and used to work with the official university newspaper The Caravan as a reporter before becoming one of the main editors. She has also interned at Enigma Magazine.
Fatma is a business writer at Business Forward. She has previously worked at Business Today and Invest-Gate, writing about diverse topics in the retail, real estate, oil, gas and infrastructure sectors. She worked as a political journalist for Daily News Egypt and as a culture journalist at Ahram Online and Egypt Today, and has freelanced for Decypha, Mada Masr, Egyptian Streets and The Globe Post.
Fatma graduated from Misr International University - Faculty of Mass Communication where she majored in Electronic and Print Journalism.
Gehad Hussein, managing editor at Business Forward, has eight years of experience in journalistic writing, content curation and copy editing. Her focus has been on economic, financial, political, social and stock market stories. She has worked at Daily News Egypt, Egypt Business Directory, RiseUp LLC, and Mubasher.info, among others.
Gehad has a BA in Online and Print Journalism from Misr International University (MIU) and an MA in Political Science from the American University in Cairo (AUC).
Heba Fouad is a graduate student pursuing her MA in Television and Digital Journalism in the Kamal Adham Center at The American University in Cairo (AUC), and is currently working as a graphic designer for AUC Venture Lab, aside freelance work as a journalist and a motion graphics video editor.
Heba studied Multimedia Journalism as an undergraduate at (AUC) with a minor in Digital Media. With both fields together, she managed to build the skills and talents that would contribute to her passion in telling stories with videos, either through animation or as a video journalist.
Khadija El-Rabti is currently studying Mass Communication at Misr International University (MIU). She has published over eight poems in books for the United Press and Young Writers in the United Kingdom (UK) and Europe.
Mahmoud Al Badry is a senior content specialist at the AUC School of Business Office of Communications and Marketing.
He graduated from AUC in 2015 after studying political science and history, with a double specialization in international relations and Middle East studies.
Nour Eltigani is the former multimedia and video specialist at Business Forward. She graduated from the American University in Cairo (AUC) in 2017 with a degree in Integrated Marketing Communications and a minor in Business Administration. She has since been working as a multimedia reporter and written and produced stories about arts and culture, entrepreneurship and lifestyle.
Omneya is Senior Economic Consultant at DCODE EFC. She also provides technical assistance to Ministries of Finance in the Middle East through the IMF Middle East Technical Assistance Center.
She worked in Egypt's Ministry of Finance for nine years in different capacities, including deputy head of the Macro Fiscal Policy Unit. Prior to this, she was a researcher at the Economic Research Forum. Omneya holds a BSc. in Economics from Cairo University and MA in Economics from the American University in Cairo.
Toqa Ezzidin is a junior writer at Business Forward. She has been a reporter at Egyptian Streets and Daily News Egypt, and worked as a freelance writer for economic news portal Decypha and Arab World-focused outlet Your Middle East.
A graduate of Cairo University’s Faculty of Mass Communication – English Section, Toqa was also a research assistant at Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ), an intern at Mada Masr and participated in several journalism study tours and forums.
